5% as opposed to their stronger West Coast version. In general I have found Underwood to be probably my favourite craft brewer in Ukraine...they tend to have light pure tasting malt and impressive hops, very similar to actual West Coast lagers and IPA's.
Lots of grapefruit aroma upon opening. Champagne like colour, reasonable head, but a quite thin appearance and no froth on the side of the glass. Orange peel from the added ingredients coming through also in the aroma.
It's pretty good, very refreshing and easy to drink fast. Though it is a bit strong on the orange peel...and for me a beer should just be barley, maybe corn or rice, and hops. This contains also maltodextrin, ascorbic acid and orange peel in addition. Still, it has a very clean malty flavour and I like the grapefruit flavour from the citra hops, though not the orange peel...otherwise bitterness is fairly minimal. Still, I do like it...and with lots more hops and more strength and less orange peel, would be lots better. Mouth feel is ok, just a bit too thin and orange peeley. There is a reason why most people peel their oranges before eating them ; )
Still, great effort, now for their hazy version.
