A rich and incredibly smooth, full-bodied English Barleywine with strong notes of raisins, figs, and a toasty malt backbone.

13 oz. pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a pretty, cranberry-ruby color with a large, creamy, long-lasting head and thick, clinging lacing. Unfortunately, the temperature at which it was served subdued its smell. I waited about 10 minutes and held the glass in my hands to warm it. The nose features roasted malt, raisin, black cherry, coriander, and clove. Its taste is classic for the style: sweet caramel malt, brown sugar, raisin, and plum. The flavors are delicate but blend very well. It has a great mouth feel: nicely creamy and viscous with lite carbonation. The 11% ABV is noticeable and warming. If you drink this after several others, then a designated driver is in order. Overall, I'm quite impressed with One Louder and I commend Five Dimes for brewing this style shortly after opening. It is a great candidate for canning.
