250ml can received from @Beersnake in the Barleywine/Stout BIF #2; first experience with Temporal
Poured into a Bottle Logic snifter
P deep mahogany w/ a small tan cap; quick recession
N big sweet sticky booze and toffee, bread pudding, and a bit of spice; superb
T not as sweet as nose lets on; smooth dense bready malt dashed w/ dark sugars, molasses; some earthiness toward the finish; subtle raisin character in there as well; abv is well hidden
Mf med-full bodied; chewy and satisfying; soft-med carb; slightly sticky
O nice profile w/ a great nose and mouthfeel to boot; not quite as complex as I anticipated, but definitely solid in its own right; thanks for the opportunity, Tim!

There is molasses on this olde ale as a supplement, not my favourite, but also reminding one of some stouts and barleywine. A small can was what it's worth.

Poured from a mini can at just warmer than fridge temp. Pours very dark brown (almost black). Minimal head. The nose is brandy, smoke, toffee, figs, and a bit of black licorice,
The taste is really interesting. Tons of black licorice, hops, tobacco, charred wood, brandy, port, smoked figs, and some burnt toffee. Mild barrel.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a mix of smoke and sweet on the aftertaste. Very nice beer, but probably wouldn't buy again.
