Poured at fridge temp. After wresting with the wax, I finally got to pour this one! Super thick and viscous black with almost no head. The nose is insane. Amazingly fresh coffee, rich chocolate, vanilla, plums, raisins, and bourbon.
The taste is what I would expect from the nose. Insanely delicious. More coffee comes through on the taste, which is great. Also picking up on the ABV here - a bit boozy but not too much. Dark chocolate, slightly roasted malts, black licorice, slight tobacco, barrel char, and more coffee. The bourbon is there, but it's not nearly as dominant as I would expect given the length of aging. The coffee really is front and center. Great beer overall.
Mouthfeel is thick and creamy.
