I stopped into Two Rivers on 31MAY18 for the first time. Was looking for a Bier or 2 to wash down the sub I had earlier for lunch. Opted for the Maibock, a 16oz pour for $6.00.
Served in a tall, slender pils glass, it was a clear, medium-amber color. Had steady carbo and a thin, fine, off-white head. The foam was a light layer yet still left solid lacing. The nose had light bready malts and was semi-sweet, though mild. Body was medium, as was the feel; typical for the style.
Taste? I thought they nailed it. Had subtle caramel with lots of bread and some toast. Was a lovely malt mixture, clean and crisp, with a touch of floral hopping at the finish. Quite solid, in my opinion. Prosit!!
