Can pour from the 2022 release - pours almost as dark as a stout, but the toffee and fig notes lead you down the correct path. More toffee, caramel, butterscotch, and dark fruit layer the palate. Finish is a little hot, but it's tough to hide 15.8%

 

I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark amber with very very thin ecru head and no lace. The scent had subtle sweet malt and wheat wine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet caramel malt base with subtle wheat wine presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
