my first from these guys, an added ingredient heavy amber ale designed in the image of a monster cookie, pretty interesting take, definitely sugary and desserty, sweet top to bottom, cocoa nibs, vanilla, peanut butter, and raisin paste in this, unique, but i could do without the peanut butter, it so often tastes cheap and powdered in beers, and it does here, which kind of takes away from how solid the base amber is, how good the raisin element is, and how tastefully done the cocoa and vanilla are. i like this being an amber base and not a brown or a stout or porter, uncommon and clever, and it would stand on its own in that category it seems, maybe ever so slightly thin, but it could be the peanut butter element making it seem that way. the raisin part is my favorite and no doubt thats where some sweetness comes from, but its distinctive and good, nice with the vanilla and the caramelized malt, they could have stopped there. the cocoa is fine, light enough to be out of the way, some bitterness from it maybe, sort of a semi sweet chip element. peanut butter is too strong, it lingers, seems cheap and even brings out some oxidation, id love to try this beer without it. that said, its a fin project, i think they get close on the cookie, and even though i dont want the whole pint can, i appreciate what they were shooting for with this. raisin paste amber on its own sounds bomb to me, they should fire up a batch of that! hoping to try more from these guys when we go back to wisconsin next, seems like some cool stuff brewing here...

L-Burnt orange color

S-Definitely smells like a cookie. Big peanut butter cookie impression. Smells great.

T-A lot of peanut butter cookie flavor as well. This is quite good for what is supposed to be. A touch of dark fruits as well...red grapes, raisins...touch of cocoa...touch of vanilla...really well done on the flavor

F-Was worried this would be too thin in body to standup to this style of beer but it works remarkably well. Medium bodied at best but drinks clean and never cloying.

O-I had no idea what to expect from this beer but thought it was worth a shot. I am very impressed with it. Not going to session it all night but this 32 ounce crowler will not be a problem.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear amber with white head that is leaving some nice lace. The scent had bold peanut butter notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet chocolate malt base and peanut butter and raisin presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid and interesting beer.
