Vice Beer

16oz can purchased at Huckleberry's, in Spokane, WA, for $4.99. according to the stamp on the bottom of the can, this was apparently canned on August 28, 2023. I think this might be my first from Vice.

Murky golden - amber color, with a big, rocky, and sudsy. Lots of lace.

Citrusy and tropical fruit like aromas. Pretty much in that order. A little bit of a bitter, herbal, grassy scent as well.

Grape fruity up front in the flavor, backed up by a little bit of a pineapple tropical fruit flavor. Finishes in a lightly bitter, herbal, grassy fashion. Dry at the swallow.

Body somewhere between light and medium, with a lightly oily mouth feel.

Good looking in the glass, but nothing terribly fancy beyond that. Seems like a weird combination of New England hazy and English IPA, really.

Poured from a 16 ounce can with illegible dating into a tulip glass.

Look- Straw, frothy white head, very hazy, no visible particulate, above average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Grapefruit, dank, passionfruit, strawberry, between weak and medium strength of scent.

Taste- Grapefruit, herbal, slight strawberry, slight passionfruit, between weak and medium strength of flavor.

Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, moderately bitter, moderately prickly, mildly creamy, mildly astringent, mildly dry finish.

Overall- Straw and very hazy with above average head retention and lacing. Bouquet was grapefruit, dank, passionfruit and strawberry. Flavor was grapefruit, herbal and slightly strawberry and passionfruit. Feel was medium body with moderate prickliness and mild creaminess. Overall this beer was an enjoyable fresh hop beer, but would have benefited from more vibrant flavors.
