*2023 Version - Collaboration w/ Baerlic Brewing using fresh Citra hops
Look: Light yellow and slightly opaque with a short-lived and somewhat dud of a head that ends as a film, leaving decent lacing behind
Aroma: White and pink grapefruit rind and flesh, lemons, cut grass, raw hop cones, wafts of peach, and navel orange
Taste: Whoa. Alpha acid-laden raw hop cones come screaming out of the glass and quickly followed by waves of pithy citrus that pile on one another. Cut grass and citrus dual for the spotlight throughout and closes with more hop cones and a big bite
Mouthfeel: Light and kind of watery, medium carbonation, and medium strength dryness on the finish
Overall: This one is alright. The taste on this is what I really love in fresh hop beers – a raw, in-your-face grassy and hoppy assault that leaves my palate huddled in the corner, weeping. That being said, I found the nose a little lacking and the body not much more than what a light lager is, which is no bueno. A mixed bag for me and I caved on the purchase because I’m a sucker for wet hop Citra beers. YMMV
