these guys are bringing a lot of new beers to the boise market and i have been digging the variety, i believe this one is fresh hops, its very pungent, earthy, and botanical forward, just delicious, fresh hop season has been a joy this year, it is every year i guess, but this year has brought some bangers my way, and this is up there. honey colored on tap, average white head, near clear with high shine, ample carbonation, looks about right for this sort of thing. aroma is striking, dehydrated apricot and mango, fresh orange, and chamomile, mowed lawn, and white tea on the herbal side, some dankness to it, sticky honey and hash oil, some bitterness appreciable already too, green in the best possible way, not the overdosed pellet way, some melon, peach, and pine as it warms up a bit, really fresh and appealing, simple grain base, neutral ferment. the flavor is similar and id love to know more about what hops are in this, its straight forward but also distinctive, love the minimal but adequate grain base, and the way the hops start early, like pink berries and fruit punchy up front, botanical in the middle with juniper and lemon verbena, later its clean citrus and ripe melon with a little weedy hit, bitter on the swallow but not aggressive just robust, great proportions and overall freshness, could drink on this one all night long. a very professionally done ipa with a cool hop profile thats familiar in its character but unique in its intensity and flow, very enjoyable!
