This robust American Stout is named after the Reading 2102 Steam Locomotive, and is as dark as the bituminous coal used to stoke the firebox in the great engine. Multiple types of dark malt, specialty grain, and generous hopping in an extra long boil create a profile that is more complex with layers of dark fruit, anise, chocolate, coffee, and espresso paired with an earthy hop and well-balanced bitterness.
