750ml bottle, purchased at the tap room/restaurant. Wax dipped cap. No dating information available. Brewed in Collaboration with Barrel Theory Beer Company.
Black colored body, with red mahogany back lit edge (very thin). No real head, but has an oily, active rising bubble surface. No lacing.
Aroma is dark chocolate cake with coconut. Has a whiff of higher ABV% alcohol.
Taste is backed by the aging in the rum barrels, with flavors of dark roasted malts, chocolate, fudge, coconut, and a little bit of nuts (cashews). Sweet coconut and chocolate linger in the aftertaste.
Thick and chewy mouth feel. Smooth and silky texture. Higher ABV% is well hidden. Supportive carbonation.
As described, this delivers on the natural coconut flavor that melds well with the dark chocolate, and vanilla from the rum barrels. Thick and sticky mouth feel lend this to be a sipper, and to be savored.

On tap. Thick. Leaves legs. Dark brown color.
Butterscotch. Very unique flavor here but I like it. Tons of coconut and fudge. German chocolate cake. Nice, warming barrels. So thick and rich. Pastry stout/dessert beer. 5 oz of this one is also plenty, but it’s very good in small quantities.
