Our Oktoberfest is a light bodied Festbier with notes of dark cracker with a touch of bitterness at the finish.

Pint pour on draught at Meyers Lighthouse. It is a hazy, bright golden-yellow with a modest ecru-colored cap. Quite effervescent, there are myriad tiny bubbles. The smell is subdued; mostly notes of citrus and some background spice. Its taste includes bready, slightly sweet malt that is sadly overpowered by the tartness of the citrus. There is also some spicing appropriate to the style but I think the balance is off a bit. It has a good, full-bodied mouth feel with lively carbonation. At 5.5% ABV it is very approachable. Overall, this Festbier needs a bigger malt presence. I'd like to taste more toasted bread to offset the strong citrus notes.
