Oranges and pine are the aroma for this hoppy beer. We whirlpooled with Mosaic and El Dorado for a promiscuously pleasant taste that finishes dry but soft.

12oz can into a pint glass. No freshness dating. Purchased at the Ocean View location. (with mini golf!)
Pale dull pineapple colored body. Small but persistent white head, scattered lacing. Herbal dry hopped aroma. On tasting, herbal hops which lasts throughout the finish. Light in body.
Overall, so-so beer, pretty one dimensional.

Pint pour on draught at Meyers Lighthouse, where it is brewed. Served in a shaker glass. It's a hazy, grassy yellow color with a thin cap of ecru foam and lite sheen of lacing. It has a nice smell: tangerine, stone fruit, lemon, and grapefruit with soft floral notes. The taste opens tart and bitter with lemon peel and grapefruit rind. But as it warms it bit the flavor develops with hints of orange, pineapple, and stone fruit, all over a dry, crackery malt base. The El Dorado hops provide a sharp bitterness throughout. This ale is very lite and crisp with lively carbonation, and it is highly drinkable at 6% ABV. Overall, I consider Beacon to be more of an American IPA than a NEIPA. It would be ideal for summer deck drinking at the Jersey Shore.
