Brewed with American 2-row, wheat malt. We added Citra and Cascade early in the kettle and then hit it with Simcoe and Columbus in whirlpool and dry hopped with all four.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a clear, bright gold color with a small, ecru cap and modest lacing. The smell offers pine needles, grapefruit, lemon, and a whiff of onion. This is a classic West Coast IPA. Nice and bitter with pine sap, lemon peel, and grapefruit. There is minimal malt presence. It is dry and crisp with lingering bitterness. This ale is lite and crisp and the 6.3% ABV allows for easy drinking. Overall, Hurricane Swell is a very solid West Coast IPA. I think it's one of the best beers brewed at Meyers Lighthouse to date.
