Copenhagen 23/2 2019. 33 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh NV. Exploding Nova with three hop cones on the label. Brewed at Svaneke Bryghus.
Pours murky orange with very big white head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer like a blanket. Climbing up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is dominated by sweet malts. Corn, hints of caramel, white sugar. Hints of butter. Lightly citric notes from the hops rummaging in the background.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet tang to it. Lingers for a bit.
Pilsner with a fine bitter edge. But I could do without the butter.
