What you're holding is our Moroccan inspired rye whiskey barrel aged barleywine. We took the base of an American barleywine and mashed it up with traditional Moroccan ingredients including honey, ras el hanout, couscous, and saffron. After fermentation in stainless we transferred it to Maryland rye whiskey barrels and let it age for 11 months. You can expect notes of baking spices, alcohol warmth, soft toasted oak, and vanilla.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Cloudy, amber brown colored body. I thought the thin off white head would disappear quickly but a partial cap sticks around. Leaves behind partial walls of lacing.
Aroma of oak, red wine, baking spices, and dark fruit.
Taste is alcohol laden and heavy, with flavors of dark fruit, green apple, red wine, baking spices, and oak. Rye from the barrel aging is noticeable. Sweet overall.
More than medium mouthfeel. Dry finish because of the alcohol. Good carbonation.
Reminds me of a Winter Warmer style but with barleywine flavors.
