Murky orange color. Poured a short head that took a minute and a half to drop down to a thin skiff. Too murky to see the carbonation level. Left thin, irregular shaped lines of lacing.
Mild barnyard and sweet stonefruit scents. Some vegetal hops. Yeasty funk and a very light malt. Swirling the glass brought out more of the barnyard, but it had a mild, inoffensive character.
Generally very mild flavors, even after it warmed up quite a bit. Medium-light bitters; much lighter than the 60 IBU promised on the label. Light malty flavor. Light barnyard that grew stronger as it warmed up. There was a light and sweet stonefruit flavor, but this was not as strong as the scent. Just a hint of tart which offset the sweet stonefruit.
Mild tongue tingling as it grew to a creamy foam. It took several seconds for the cream to turn into a coarser foam. A bit of an oily feel towards the end as the coarse foam was breaking down.
Generally a nice showing. I would try to reduce the barnyard somewhat and increase the hoppy bitters to better match the style. There was a good balance of tart against the sweet stonefruit.
