On tap at Okay Beer Co at West Main Lanes in Honeoye Falls, NY.
This smells weirdly melony, and like overripe melon, with citrus, and sugary sweetness.
I really liked a good amount of Okay Beer Co’s beers so far, but this was a mess, unfortunately. It feels underattenuated and just much too sweet – it’s a little bit of a slog to get through, honestly. It’s weirdly fruity for the style, with very little interesting malt character that you want out of a bock.
This is light bodied, and while not completely undrinkable, certainly a little bit of a chore to get through.
This was a definite miss in a lineup of mostly hits.
