Never had anything from Wild Air before so when I found this a few months back at Jersey Fine Wines in East Brunswick, I had to give it a go. No, this isn't a style that I'm terribly familiar with or have had often but when done right, they're easy to enjoy and worth taking the time to appreciate.
That was the case with this as it was a textbook example of the style from the get-go. Golden, bubbly, and bright, more than enough head topped this off as it took quite a while to settle down. Some rocky semblances of rings remained although the lacing got spottier the further down my pint glass I got. Mild aroma to this of bread as the grass, hop oils, and malt came through on the palate. Nicely balanced and carbonated, there was a lot to enjoy here as this would easily be something I'd want to have a full Italian meal - also made here in Jersey, of course!
Indeed, this would be perfect as a table beer as there was no overt bitterness, skunk, or booze as the subdued notes and laid-back feel would complement olive oil, eggplant, bread, and parmesan beautifully. No date was to be found anywhere but when you have something this simplistically lovely, who's to notice? Glad to have come across this and find another brewery here in my home state!

16 oz can. Pours light golden with tall long lasting white head. Aroma is of grassy hops and bready malt. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Good amount of grassy hops balanced on the palate with bready malt. Finish is medium and dry. Good brew.
