A dark brown porter with notes of dark cacao and fresh roasted coffee with a crisp finish.

Almost solid black appearance
Medium light carbonation with about a medium body
Aroma is an interesting mix of roasted malt, toasted dark bread, a little bit of dark fruit along with some black coffee .
Taste has a mild sweetness but the dry roasted malt, grain and dark bread match it perfectly
Interesting, flavorful and definitely worth trying

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Willi Belcher glass. This pours a deep ruby red with a thin head that dissipates quickly. An unusual “wild “ aroma. Not what I would expect from a Baltic porter. The taste is almost a hybrid of root beer and birch beer. Slightly sweet with a very unique aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thin with very fine carbonation. Overall, this is the strangest Baltic porter I’ve ever had. It’s not bad; just weirdly unique in a good way.

DATE: December 29, 2024... OCCASION: finishing a fun holiday weekend, I am able to enjoy a bit of the haul I gifted Jer with--my first Wild Air offering... GLASSWARE: nonick... pours a jet black body supporting a single finger of beige head that pocks, crags and crackles with life... peat, chocolate, raisin, fig, and roasted malts create a warm, inviting dessert-like aroma... chewy, vibrant, and hearty--sippable and sneaky in its ABV... chocolate, coffee, raisin, fig, and toasted bread are strong and pleasant, a constant mixture that builds a beautiful profile... this brewery clearly embraces the finer things: putting a Cormac McCarthy quote on the can is a smart move, and its art displays a sharp, mystic label...
