Small pour on premises.
Very light haze. Straw yellow body with moderate carbonation and a thin head. The nose does provide notes of esters and a hint of spices but not as in your face as expected from the style. The taste, unfortunately, follows suit. Flavors expected are very light and difficult to pick up. It has a lightly sour edge to it that sticks out which to my knowledge is atypical. The mouthfeel is thin and its very easy drinking at a repeatable 4% ABV.
Now's the time for a disclaimer. I have not had many hefeweizens nor is it a style that I actively seek out. So weigh my opinion knowing this.
Overall its a light option that may appeal to a lot of people. However it has its flaws. This brewery has some great options to choose from and I would recommend exploring those other choices over this.
