Once again, SPBC knocks one out of the park with an excellent dark beer.
Pour is stout like. Opaque with a nice head to it. Earthy nose with hints of cacao and malted rye. The taste is delicious. Milk chocolate. Medium roast coffee. Rye bread. Maybe a hint of mint that rye sometimes can imbue. Nice mouthfeel between medium to thick.
You could tell me that this was a full on stout beer and I would believe you. But the line often blurs between the two styles. It's a great winter beer for these colder months, and very approachable at 6%. Highly recommended for those who enjoy dark brews.
