Look: A rich, reddish-amber on the pour with a lively off-white head that quickly settles to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, light toffee, some dough, graham cracker, light red apple notes, caramel, and earthiness
Taste: Opens up with a kiss of red apple before a wave of bready and doughy malt comes rushing in and starts developing depth and synergy. As the bready goodness unfolds, toffee, caramel, and graham cracker swirl around, intertwining from time to time while earthy hop notes interject occasionally through to the close
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, smooth, medium-high carbonation, and soft and clean on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. Amber lagers aren’t easy to find so I didn’t hesitate to grab this when I saw it as Deluxe’s Wild Beaver has been holding it down solo as one of the few around here for years. This one is right up there with Wild Beaver as it has a great toffee/caramel/graham cracker malt component that I love in the style but is clean and light enough to enjoy several of in a session, including in the heat. Another good one from these somewhat new-to-me folks and worth checking out

Can from Uptown Market.
A mildly hazy amber with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is lovely, with soft dough, Czech decocted caramel notes and just a glorious Saaz hop character. Lemony, dusty, floral, punchy, this is so beautifully layered. The palate is lovely. Rich, layered, decocted malt, light toffee, rich hop character. Drying, clean , bitter finish. Excellent.
