Clear golden amber brew with ample foam in the snifter. Pleasant aroma of straw and cookies. Smooth and prickly on the tongue with a hefty malty mouthfeel. This is really sweet, like a massive Märzen. Flavors of roasted grain, cereal, and caramel. Tangy along with the sweetness. Quite likable and quite a mouthful. Not exactly one for the big stein, and at 5.9 percent it's not one for gulping, but certainly a tasty and robust fall beer. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bridge and Tunnel Bottleshop in Astoria. Dated 9/09/2024.
