Edit: Initially rated this from a sample consumed at the source in early September. Didn't properly review this beer until November 1st, 2024.
16oz can purchased at Rocket Market, high atop Spokane's South Hill. According to the text on the label, this was canned on July 30th, 2024. It was brewed in celebration of Uprise's second anniversary.
Poured into a 16 oz tallboy can derived glass (there has to be an easier way to describe that), this was a clear, coppery hued amber color, with a good sized, bone-white head. There was a decent amount of lace left behind.
Floral, citrusy, and herbal nose. Reminds me a little of lemongrass. Seems to nail the "Italian Pilsner" aroma characteristics.
Dry, herbal and citrusy flavor, but not puckeringly or punishingly so. Nice, crackery malt flavor forming the backbone. Finishes dry yet soft.
Fairly light bodied, with a lightly crisp, clean and dry mouth feel.
Pretty much nails what an Italian pilsner is supposed to be. I kind of feel like it's weakest point is that it could stand to be slightly crisper on the finish. However, that is far from being a deal-breaker, and I feel like I could drink this beer all day long quite happily.
