Bottle purchased and drank at Contramar in Mexico City, Mexico.
This one pours a dark-ish brown, almost black, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells fairly roasty, with a hint of coffee, some caramel, and some nuttiness.
This is pretty well rounded overall, but I wanted a slight bit more bite to it. There’s basically no discernible hop flavor, but the malt profile is tasty – nutty, caramelly, with just a hint of coffee-like roastiness.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, and very drinkable.
I’ve gotta try any new dark lager that I see, so this was an easy order. It was pretty solid.
