Created as a celebration of life’s passions, this IPA has lashings of passionfruit, plus generous additions of riwaka and simcoe hops. We always said we wanted to make beers worthy of the gods.

This can was purchased fresh from the source in March 2024, and drunk a few weeks later.
L: Hazy, golden yellow in the glass, with a long-lasting, thick, moussey head. A veritable wall of very small bubbles glides up the glass. Lacing is left on the way down.
S: The expected tropical fruit basket is present in the aroma, with nectarine, overripe pineapple and hoppy spiciness the most evident.
T: The taste is not as tropical as I expected from the nose, with a moderate - and pleasing - level of bitterness the main takeaway. Don't get me wrong, there's definite tropical hoppiness, but it's not an overwhelming tropical bomb. It's still very tasty, though. There's a kick of warmth, presumably from the hop load, on the swallow that settles nicely in the gut and gullet.
M: Mouthfeel is quite mild. The beer has a full body, carbonation is restrained, and carbonic prickle is minimal.
O: This is a very nice, hoppy IPA. I'm drinking a can that's maybe six weeks old, so it should still be in pretty good condition, with a good chance to show its wares, and these are wares I'd happily take more of.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
