Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with light coppery notes and a one finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, lemon and faint mixed fruit. Flavor is pale malt with a biscuit element, citrus hops, grapefruit, some dankness and a hint of piney resin, but not pine character. Solid resinous, but neutral flavored bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. The hops here are traditional West Coast style, but the malt has a little more biscuit in it like an English ale influence. The hops are mostly citrus, but a little of the Mosaic fruit hovers in the background. The herbal fresh hop element of the hops are a bit subdued. An interesting take on the style.
