Poured from 16oz can into a glass mug. It looks like there are several versions of this beer, and the other entry is for a version with different hops than this one.
Appearance: pale yellow-gold hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: there's a nice grassy, slightly fruity hop note that I like, but under that is an almost diacetyl-like aroma that I'm not digging so much. Not sure if it's intended that way or a fermentation error, but either way, it's unwelcome.
Taste: same deal as in the aroma -- a grassy, maybe a bit fruity, hop flavor reminiscent of springtime, but unfortunately with that same kinda-dull diacetyl-like flavor. Overall it's not gross or anything; there's just an unwelcome element here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: maybe I'm just sensitive to this particular flavor, but it really does kinda ruin what otherwise might be a pretty good beer.
