Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a dark brown - semi transparent. Off-white head that slowly dissipates. The nose is very malty. Fine toffee, freshly baked bread, stone fruit, grain, slight mineral note, and a hint of spice.
The flavor is a blast on the palate. I expected this to be fairly light on the intensity, but it's right up in your face. Sweet toffee dominates, with bread, nuts, stone fruit, spice, and slight roasted malts note. To be honest, the sweetness kind of dominates and pushes down the other flavors. I would have liked more balance.
The mouthfeel is light and crisp. Easy drinking for sure. Overall, a nice lager.
