A: Pours a hazy (but not too much haze) yellow/golden color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Banana esters, peppery spice and yeast in the nose. Husky wheat mingles in there as well. Simple, by the books, and pretty enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, banana esters, peppery spice is all there. Wheat and cereal grains/cracker like malts. This could have a little more oomph. All the flavors are there but just a little thin.
M/O: A light body with crisp carbonation. Again, this needs to have more oomph. Though I can come back to this with ease. Certainly an easy drinker.
While I do enjoy this, and it has all the classic Hefe characteristics, its just kind of too light. That might have something to do with the ABV, as it is a lighter version of the style. Though even so, it could benefit with some heftiness all around. I'll still have this on occasion, but there are many other examples of the style I like better.
