Our Doppelbock is a fantastic malted lager that is split in to different mashing temperatures to bring out multiple flavours and aromas that melt together to form a well balanced dark beer with a crisp lager finish. Klipbock was rewarded a Gold Medal in the 2018 SANBT Awards, which rounded off a fantastic 5 medal haul.

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp. Not sure about the bottling date as I couldn't find anything on the label or the bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a solid couple of inches of off-white head. The nose is fruity and malty. Plums, raisins, figs, dates, bready malts, oatmeal, pudding, toffee, and a hint of brown sugar.
The taste is nice. Actually fairly light for 8.2% ABV. Malty and mildly sweet. Toffee candy, prunes, raisins, grainy bread, stone fruit, and an earthy note. Very smooth. Easy drinking. Mouthfeel is fairly light and the aftertaste is mild sweetness. There is a chalky note in the back of the mouth. Overall, really nice. Would definitely buy again.
