I had this on-tap at the Turoni's on Main Steet while in town visiting family.
A: Poured extremely black, with a bit of ruby poking through around the edges, and the mocha head was fairly robust and frothy. Nice!
S: While this was understated overall, I did manage to get some dark malt char and corn.
T: Drinkable and smooth, with a touch of grainy bitterness, but not too much by any means. I wish the aftertaste were a bit more delectable, but that is just a minor quibble.
M: I got more water than cream, but I think in this setting that that is actually a good thing. Smooth as silk, nice carbonation bill, and with a slight bit of lacing left on the glass.
O: I was impressed with this one and it's one of the best Turoni's brews I've tasted.

On tap at their Weinbach location, it arrives in a pint glass a dark mahogany body topped by a small beige head. Retention is below average and lacing is minimal. Aroma is somewhat subdued but quite pleasant. Hints of chocolate mingle nicely with a smoked maltiness and spicy hops. A bit thin on the mouthfeel with an ideal medium carbonation. Taste mirrors the aroma, with hints of chocolate and spicy hops playing off the smoky and toasty malt backbone. Very drinkable and an ideal compliment to their excellent pizza.
