Draft pour in a shaker pint at fridge temp purchased at the weinbach location. Dark brown with chocolate tan colored head. The head recedes to a layer of bubbles and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is minimal with some dark malt. The taste is semisweet chocolate and roast malt. Very odd and out of place. No Belgian character or bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, adequately carbonated and undry in the finish. Overall, poor. Could be poor tap conditions, but that's still inexcusable at a brewery.

Very dark brown with some lightness around the edges. Head is a finger thick with off tan bubbles. Slowly dissipates leaving a layer of creamy beige on top.

Really malty in the nose with just a hint of spices.

Very malty backbone with lots of spiciness. Slightest hint of alcohol.

Starts off creamy before the spice takes over. Finishes with an off feel, slightly sour. Medium bodied.

Good rendition of a Belgian dubbel just with some loose ends.

Pours a clear, dark copper color. 3/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight yeast, slight hop, and slight spice. Fits the style of a Dubbel. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, spice, hint of hop, hint of citrus, hint of pale malt, and hint of grain. Overall, the appearance is great, with a good aroma, feel, body, and complexity. The spice and citrus notes are great additions that complement rather than dominate the beer.
