I am LINO KIM from South Korea. I started homebrewing in 2011, when I was living in Korea with my family, working at a leading multinational technology company. Every day, when I returned home, NANA, my wife, complained about the taste of the beer. "Korean beer is very watery and not rich!" So I thought, 'My dear wife, why is she so gourmet and detailed?' 'Well, if it's about tasty beer, why not make it myself', I thought casually, that's how the production of homemade beer began. A year later, I won the gold prize in the Craft Home Brewing Contest in my country. This reached so much recognition, that every time I got more and more hooked on this world. And so I discovered that this was my vocation and decided to dedicate my life to it.
The place I chose to make my dream come true was Colombia. Working in the Korean multinational, I had the opportunity to spend two seasons in Bogotá, (2009 - 2012), (2015 - 2018). This time allowed me to discover the joy of Colombians, who dance to music anywhere and have fun at all times. I wanted to always work together with them and face new challenges with them. In 2019 I decided to start Lino Brewing Company and live permanently in Colombia. With Nana, my wife who is so gourmet and detailed, I am lovingly preparing a special beer for you, the Colombians that I love so much.
