L- Superficially black, though with a halogen torch held behind the glass it is actually super-deep ruby red. Pours with 3mm mid khaki head.
S- I could smell the coffee on popping the can and during the pour, prominent and nothing else seems to get past that.
T- Coffee, slightly charry quite brightly hopped too so the the elements balance well.
F- It has a pungent flavour and yet it hasn't a heavy feel. What can also happen with a big flavour and relatively modest ABV (here 5.5%) is such a beer can come over as thin, lacking feel; it doesn't fall into that trap either.
O- It's cleverly done, but coffee is that dominant in the overall profile that I think it might not work for non coffee-fans.
440ml can Bought from TremblingMadness/York BB: 30/11/2021
Now checking the lable... contains: Barley, wheat, oats, lactose, coffee, cocoa-nibs. What do you make of such a list? Fine 'nDandy or an adjunct with added flavourings... hmmm... Frankly I can finish it but I wouldn't buy it again; I prefer a beer to taste of beer vs iced coffee.
