Birrificio Agricolo B2O "Renera"
33 cl brown glass bottle coded "Da consumarsi preferibilimente entro il: 12 - 25" and sampled on 26 November 2025.
€7 @ Altro Impero Pizza & Natura, Verona, IT
Look: Typical black body beneath a short head of dark tan foam. Both the head retention and lacing should be better.
Smell: Intense roastiness like very dark roasted coffee and charred wood.
Taste: The intense roastiness found in the nose rides roughshod over the caramel maltiness that's there leaving it bombastic as there's not enough to support it and it feels thin and empty beneath. A stiff bitterness balances it and it finishes dry and ashy.
Feel: Medium-light in body and gently crisp.
Overall: It's intense for sure, but it's also out of balance and not well rounded at all.
