First from this brewery, and probably one of the most difficult styles to do right, so let's go. No can date
Pours a large creamy fluffy 1.5 finger head with good retention, soapy lacing, mostly clear slight hazed golden straw color
Nose very doughy grainy straw like, some cereal, grainy-sweet pilsner malt, touch of vanilla batter, light herbal hop
Taste brings more malt up front, thicker malt than I expected almost chewy like, golden malt with more grainy-sweet notes, a bit of straw, bread dough, hops kick in quickly with herbal a little floral then getting spicy on the finish, med hop bitterness increasing a bit on the finish, a mild fruity character in the middle, drier finish with that spicy hop bitterness but not overly
Mouth is med to fuller bod, a bit of a chewy malt thing going on, med to a bit higher prickly carb
Overall not bad, a bit like a Helles combined with a Bavarian pilsner, malts came on a bit too chewy and thick but good otherwise, hops got a touch aggressive on the back end but not too much, not sure where the fruity character came from but likely hops since I feel like it was lagered well. Good intro to this brewery
