This Belgian tripel uses a malt base of strictly Pilsner malt giving it a very light cracker base. A small addition of dark Belgian candi sugar brings out some light pear aromas and contributes pear and plum to the flavor.
Monastery Ale yeast is the star of the show, bringing banana, clove, and coriander to the nose with more banana and some black pepper on the flavor. This is the perfect cold-weather beer with a slight alcohol sensation that'll warm you up.

Exceptionally well balanced, feathery light tripel with good palate heft; an incredibly subtle, complex fruity/banana/clove/pear/coriander/malty notes and absolutely no evidence of its 8.6%! Very dangerously quaffable indeed!

On draft at Taps on Main. Poured a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of thin foam. It smelled of banana, clove, spices and caramel. Sweet banana taste with clove, caramel and yeast.
