Look:
Pours up a moderate beige head and even lacing. Dark brown color.
Smell:
Toasted, nutty sweet malt, very little hops. Has a slight spicy almost cola-like note in the nose.
Taste:
Sweet dark bread and roasted pecans. Minimal bitterness. Sweet, nutty finish.
Mouthfeel:
Medium-heavy, defjnite sugar sensation, warmth and a bit of expected astringency from the darker ingredients.
Overall:
Big, sipping after-dinner brown. Not a session beer at all. A good, comforting year round treat.
