Locally sourced, handpicked spruce tips are the secret to this effervescent Brut IPA. Dry-hopped Columbus and Simcoe combine to create earthy notes of pine, resin, spice and fruit. Like a crisp morning wander with a kilted Scotsman through an evergreen forest, but with beer. Slainte!

Serving: 473 ml can from the brewpub poured into a nonic pint glass.
Appearance: hazy, pale straw yellow with a billowing head of lush white foam and clumpy lace.
Smell: West Coast breeze through a spruce forest, with subtler notes of citrus and tropical fruit.
Taste: Crisp and light malt base with lemony citrus, subtle tropical fruit, earth and dank notes, and pleasantly lingering thread of spruce. Lightly bitter, but still very clean and dry.
Mouthfeel: Light body with effervescent carbonation.
Overall: Pacific Northwest in a can: spruce tips complement a crisp, refreshingly dry IPA that's both subtle and full of West Coast character.
