Bourbon Barrel Aged Bitches Brew

Having this on draft at a newer brewpub, I'm not certain if this is an older keg, or a new release, but it was listed as Bourbon Barrel aged and Untappd also listed a bunch of recent check-ins over the past couple days at various locations across the country. However, I didn't notice much of a difference between this and the wood-aged version, with woody hickory, cedar and an odd umami note of sesame oil taking hold. A slight sting of undefined booze comes out in the swallow, but overall this is actually markedly worse than bottled wood-aged version I'd had a couple months ago.
