We laid down in the spring of 2016 in second-use French oak barrels and barrel-fermented it with Brettanomyces bruxellensis. Then we blended the barrels together with apricot and refermented it with a Belgian saison yeast. It’s juicy, tart and funky with strong notes of apricot, stone fruit and citrus.

Had this on a tap takeover at Pinehurst in Baltimore. The oak and wild yeast notes are very apparent but it's not quite as challenging a brew as some naturally fermented and refermented offerings. Very refreshing and drinkable, with a good balance.

Looks unimpressive poured into a flight glass- zero head or lacing. Smells fruity with sour notes. Taste is similar but stronger- sour tangerine. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing but not thin. Looks unimpressive but is quite a good beer.
