Brewed with pils malt, malted wheat, flaked oats and fermented with Riesling and Viognier grape must, this beer/wine hybrid fuses the hoppiness of an IPA with the fruity complexity of a dry white wine. German hop varieties, Blanc and Huell Melon, along with Australian Galaxy hops are added to provide notes of honeydew melon, white grape and tropical fruit.

1/31/19....pours pale gold, light colored, fast active bubbling foam that vanishes. No head. Sharp pine oily bitter. Resinous. Grape skins, heavy resins, light bitter. Smooth, lasting bitter. Tasty.

On tap. Poured a slightly hazy, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled a little like a sweet white wine. Fruity tasting with the white wine grapes. Very little bitterness.

Viniferous pours a hazy golden color, with not much head. Aroma has a subtle crisp hop, and white wine notes. Flavor is crisp, very mellow hop, and a sweet dry wine finish. Good body and feel. Overall, funky. tastes like a wine flavored beer.

Pours a cloudy light yellow with a thin white cap, decent lacing. Aroma is white wine, some faint melon. Flavor follows the nose with the melon more pronounced. Feel is clean and crisp. Overall just okay, not thrilled with these wine/beer hybrids. Part of a variety 12 pack, this one better than the 61 IMO.

Pours a hazy straw color with a finger's worth of coarse, white suds. Delicate, complex aroma smells of fresh bread, resinous hops, melon, white wine, and floral hops.
The taste features grain husk and peppery hops up front, accented by lemongrass and white grapes. The bitterness is by no means overpowering, and the complementary flavors are allowed to shine. Medium body and effervescent carbonation make for a marvelously dry finish.
While the taste isn't as complex as the nose would suggest, this remains a tasty offering that would probably hit the spot on a hot summer day.

This beer pours a mostly clear yellow with a small head. The aroma features bright aromas of peaches, flowers, tangerine peel, and Seville orange. The flavor is more mild than the aroma, with soft flavors of white peach. white flower, lavender, and a hint of mild apple and lime peel. The mouthfeel is light with s soft edge with vigorous fizzy carbonation. Overall this is a really nice beer - a little outside my conception of and IPA but a great boundary pushing beer, and my favorite Dogfish beer with grapes.
