L: Had this on-tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, off white, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A nice aroma of malt, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, wood, a nutty quality, and hops.
T: Tasted of a mild amount of vanilla, a fair amount of roasted malt (present throughout), light lactose, a fair shot of bourbon (and some of the accompanying oak barrel), and a tinge of caramel. An interesting and big flavor that doesn't overpower you. Not at all boozy, but certainly complex. Pretty tasty.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a very smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: One of the more fascinating brown ales out there. Definitely worth a look.
