Had this the other day on tap.
A - Very nice bright red with some copper to it.
S- Like spruce with a small amount of hops.
T - I was really disappointed with the taste. I am a huge red ale fan and this just didn't work. The spruce hit a spicy earthy note but was extremely bitter at the end.
M - Lighter for a red ale.
D - I had trouble finishing a pint of it.
A half pint was delicious though. Just not my cup of tea.

Had this one on tap at the Rehoboth Beach brewpub, just developed and described by them as a spiced red.
A: Auburn red color with moderate head and thin lacing in the pint glass
S: Pine needles, apparently spruce. The woodsiness of the aroma was all that was really picked up, not much malty background
T: More of a red ale than what I would consider overly spicy as the smell would first indicate. Different as you would expect from them, but not sure it was as hoppy as I would have hoped.
M: Pretty highly carbonated or so it seemed as the aroma of the pines climbed through and stung on each sip, though in a good way.
D: Not the most drinkable of beers, low ABV I would guess but the woodsiness pulls on the palate.
