Pours a clear golden amber color. The head rapidly dissipates.

The nose is funky and very oaky, as it exudes a vinous sour quality. Aromas of tart fruit, including, lemon, lime, kiwi, white grape, melon and cherry. Hints of sourdough bread, honey and sweet floral spices to contrast the vinegar like acidity.

Very sour, mouth puckering and extremely dry. Lots of oaky flavors evoke white wine. Notes of sourdough, wheat, lemon, lime, white grapefruit and kiwi. Notes of peppery spices and floral hops flavors.

Medium bodied and acidic. The finish is very dry and sour. The carbonation is moderate.

Fantastic! Full of complex oaky character, intensely sour and refreshingly bone dry. I would have again.

Just went to Rehoboth to celebrate my 50th birthday. Great time! Of course needed to hang out at least once at Dogfish Head brewpub. Was a bit disappointed at their tap list this time - only one exclusive? But anyway, bought a bunch of singles of their barrel aged program. This one is the easiest and least complex that I tried. But…really good. Looks like a basic NE IPA but then the aroma has faint funk going on. The beer is still pretty juicy but with some acidity and funkiness. Nice and refreshing!
