For our version, brewer Todd Perkins was in charge - in the kettle we used Vanguard hops, Salt (Hawaiian Sea Salt), ground coriander and lactic acid to finish. Todd gave a nod to a fave flick 'Ghostbusters' in naming this beer.

Tried this on tap at the Dogfish Head Pub in Rehoboth, DE,

The color was a slightly cloudy pale golden. The smell was like a pilsner but without the Saaz hop and a touch of coriander. The initial flavor is of tartness followed by the coriander. At this point a salty flavor takes over. The acidic tartness lingers. This is a very interesting beer, but due to the salt has a limited drinkability. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

Ahh, a pale wheat beer with the beautiful sourness that comes from natural (I believe) souring. Well rounded in a way that reminds me of when they made Festina Peche at the brewpub. Baby got bac - teria once again! I do not this to become a year-round beer as I fear it will be soured with one-sided lactic acid. But ... a brewpub repeat? Please!!

But then, I may be wrong. Dogfish's website claims this is made with lactic acid, not bacteria. Still good.

I want Dogfish to make this a year-round brew. I love this style and there aren't enough people doing it--and wow, this was a great interpretation of the style.

Hazy gold with beautiful lacing; smelled like a pilsner, I wasn't actually sure it was a Gose from the smell alone.

Taste was a wheat ale, but with this great sourness, and the coriander and salt added a nice mineral character. The mouthfeel reminds me of Festina Peche, but the wheat character means that the sourness is not overwhelming like it is with Berliner Weisse styles. Perfect for a summer day, perfect for everything. I drank as much as I could while still in Rehoboth.

Poured from tap into a curved pint at Dogfish Head Brewing & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Pours a beautiful light gold in color, hazy with a billowing white head. Loads of lacing left on the glass. Lemon zest and a pilsner like skunkiness dominates the nose, a bit of spiciness and some wheat are very loud in the taste, light and refreshing to say the least. I also get a nice amount of tart/sour properties with bits of coriander and some sage. Mouthfeel is light and very similar to Festina Peche's crispness and feel on the tongue. Overall a very nice Gose brew that is very drinkable and perfect for a warm summer day in Rehoboth.

a: opaque hazed yellow with a bone white head, nice retention and lacing

s: lemony tones dominate with a clean wheaty body, balanced sour with some grassy hops, not much coriander here or on the palate - I didn't pick it out at all while drinking

m: carbonation full but smooth, combines with the light body for a nice mouthfeel

t: super clean wheat malt body with balanced lemony sour notes, hops light, the salt adds only a slight mineral taste to the finish, pretty flavorful for such a simple set of characteristics

d: exceptionally easy, and an interesting style that I'm happy to have tried, brings to mind the berliner weisse style
