Picked as part of a 4 pack at Dogfish Head Miami. Brewed on site.
Tasted a tap hit, brought the cans home.
Chilled pint can into a DFH logo snifter. Offers no head. Yeah, looks like apple cider. Smells like honey mead. Tastes of honey up front, tad of light malt and that’s about it. Good alcohol burn. Short finish. Feels like apple cider on the palate.
Overall, it’s a nice sipper, nothing to wait in line to get though.,

Pours thick brown, like apple cider, with no head. Aroma is honey, wildflowers and booze. There’s a lot going on in the aroma as it warms. Taste is malty, honey and a bit flowery. Not as complex as the aroma. Feel is excellent, deeply rich and coating. Feel lingers without any carbonation. Overall it’s a big barleywine and part of the sale goes to charity, so worth a try.
